Roll off dumpster sizes for rent in Chicago Area
Choosing to include a roll off dumpster in your project, whether it’s a home remodel, reroofing project or a small or large clean out of the home or garage, is a smart decision on many levels. Most of our customers at A City Dumpsters enjoy the convenience of having a dumpster on site where they can quickly and safely dispose of rubbish.
Roll off dumpster sizes vary, which means you need to choose wisely to ensure your project runs as smoothly as possible. At A City Dumpsters, we have dumpster sizes for rent that will be a perfect match for your project
The most common question home or property owners have when renting a dumpster is “what are the different dumpster sizes?” Every project is different and A City Dumpsters carries the sizes that are a good match for just all of them. We offer units in the following sizes: 6, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yards.
The material you are disposing of will be a good guide for helping you what size dumpster you rent. For example, landscaping jobs where dirt, cement and bricks are being disposed of, you will need to rent one of the two smallest dumpsters, as they are designed for dense/heavy materials. For projects that include large volumes and/or bulky items, you’ll need a larger unit.
When considering roll off dumpster size comparisons, floor space is one factor that matters. For example, the smallest dumpster, a 6-yard unit, only takes up a space 12 feet long by 6 feet wide. By comparison, the largest dumpster takes up a space that is 18 feet long and 6 feet wide. If you’ve got limited space to fit a dumpster, you must consider the area each different sized unit will take up.
Measuring 18’x8’x4.5’, the 20-yard dumpster size fits projects such as three car garage cleanouts and larger remodeling jobs, each of which can generate up to 8,000 pounds of waste.
A 30-yard dumpster size is compatible with projects where up to 11,000 pounds of debris will be tossed. These include small garage and shed demolition and new construction projects. These large dumpster sizes measure 18’x8’x6.5’.
Measuring 14’x6’x3.5’, the 10-yard dumpster size will hold up to 5,000 pounds and is perfect for most two-car garage cleanouts.
A 15-yard dumpster rental size measures 16′ x 8′ x 3.5′ and will hold up to 6,00 pounds of debris. It is most often used for medium size home remodeling projects and two-car garage cleanouts.
Small dumpsters are generally classified as 6-yard dumpsters. Most small landscaping jobs utilize a 6-yard dumpster, as they will not generate more than 4,000 pounds of debris.
Whether your home cleanout project is small or large, A City Dumpsters knows what size dumpster you need for your specific project.
Garages are known for gathering clutter that eventually needs to be hauled away. Most customers will choose a dumpster no smaller than 10 yards. Larger garages will require a larger unit.
A 10-yard dumpster will hold a single layer of shingles on a 1,000 square foot roof. If your roof is 2,200 square feet, you’ll need to use a 20-yard dumpster.
New construction and demolition projects are known to generate lots of debris and usually require our larger units, such as the 20- and 30-yard dumpster.
When big storms rip through the Chicago area, the landscaping can take a big hit and require removal. Whether the storm is devastating or presents only a minor inconvenience, we’ve got the dumpsters that will handle your cleanup.
A 10-yard dumpster will hold up to 1000 sq ft of single layer roof shingles. If your roof is 2,200 square feet, you’ll need to use a 20-yard dumpster.
It’s often amazing how much refuse is generated during a home renovation project. From drywall to wood dust, old nails to floor and ceiling tile, it all adds up. For smaller renovations, we recommend the 6 and 10-yard dumpsters. If you’ve got a whole house remodel underway, go with our larger units, perhaps even the 30-yard dumpster.
Landscaping projects often require the removal of dense materials, such as dirt, rocks, bricks and concrete. If this is the case with your project, we recommend our six or 10-yard dumpsters, as these are the heavy material dumpsters of choice.
